Grating lemon or orange zest

To ensure that you don't lose any of the zest when grating a lemon or orange, pull a piece of cling film tightly over the grater so that the ridges pierce the film. Start grating. When you have done, lift off the cling film and hey presto, you can just tip off the last bit of zest leaving none trapped around the blades.
