Tricks and Treats from Kitchens

Our talented staff in our Cardiff store have been creating cakes and jellies for Halloween. Patrick made this spider cake using the Nordic Ware cupcake tin for the body and head and he used liquourice for the legs. He dyed dessicated coconut black using Sugarflair paste colouring - Black Extra, and covered the spider's head and body - making it a hairy spider that smells delicious!

Laura created a ghost cake by cutting up and shaping sponges she made in a sandwich tin and adding her own decoration using Regalice and colourings. She also made the orange jelly in the Eddingtons pumpkin mould.

You can see these creations in the Cardiff store until Halloween on Monday 31st October. Our thanks to Laura and Patrick for applying such clever tricks to make their treats.  Will your Halloween tea look this scary?
